My name’s Natasha, and I’m a cultural anthropologist. My current research involves the “revival” of the 1980s glam metal music scene, and the influence of digital technologies and social media on the participation of musicians, audiences, fans, and other individuals in the genre. I’m also interested in the experiences of women who have participated in glam rock in various capacities. More broadly, I’m fascinated by globalization and consumer culture, postmodernism, and how anthropologists can study human individuality.
